The National Service of Protected Natural Areas by the State – SERNANP, responsible for the administration of the Tambopata National Reserve, in the Declaration of Emergency in 11 districts of the Madre de Dios region, informs the public opinion, the following:
The main natural attractions of the Tambopata National Reserve and the buffer zone of the Manu National Park and its rivers and streams, cornerstones of tourism, are protected and reguardados by guardparque SERNANP staff.
In this regard it should be noted indicate that the zones and areas where illegal mining is developed outside the tourist circuits of the Tambopata National Reserve
and the buffer zone of the Manu National Park, they have not been affected due to conservation strategies developed by the SERNANP in the area, where authorized tour operators are involved. This in turn ensures the safety and enjoyment of the visit during the tours in the reserve.
SERNANP promotes and ensures the development of responsible, sustainable and safe in the region of Madre de Dios tourism as a conservation strategy is being protected and contributing to economic and social development of the local population natural area, through partnerships with companies tourism and local tour operators.
